3  Important Takeaways from Exploring Our Own Product

13 December 2022 · by Margit Grobbel

Three of our team members share what they’ve learned from attending events and activities.

InterNations offers up to 6,000 events worldwide every year. That’s 6,000 opportunities to meet interesting, international people, both face-to-face and online. And sometimes, event attendees may also run into us — members of the InterNations team.

InterNations is not only the largest international community for people who live and work abroad. Many of our team members are also expats and enjoy the chance to socialize with other global minds. Some of us have made use of our remote-first setup to move to a different city and are rebuilding personal networks. Others are just looking for people to share hobbies and interests with.

In any case, for InterNations team members from across the company, using our own product is eye-opening and inspiring. It helps unlock insights that you can’t get unless you experience the heart of our product — our events and activities — for yourself. Here’s what we learned this year.

29 August 2022 · by InterNations_CC

In this guest post, our Corporate Communications Intern Patricia looks back at the past six months at InterNations, sharing what she learned during her internship abroad.

Patricia worked for us as an intern from March to September 2022.

As a business student at the Swiss German University in Jakarta, Indonesia, I traveled far from home. There were two reasons why I came to Germany: to attend part of my double-degree program at the Fachhochschule Südwestfalen in Soest and to do a six-month internship abroad.

Fun@Work: How InterNations Team Members Unwind

4 April 2022 · by Margit Grobbel

Getting to relax and to enjoy yourself at the office is not the same as “all play and no work”. Having fun is said to lower stress levels, to help build a socially connected learning environment, and to increase productivity by an average 12%. Let’s all remember this figure in case someone tries to object to Friday Happy Hour!

But whatever the benefits for the company’s bottom line might be, truth is that we sometimes just need a break. Find out how some of our team members brighten the mood during their working days, both remote and in person.
