After some months of preparation, our team’s joint effort — especially our IT department’s hard work — has finally come to fruition. InterNations is saying good-bye to the beta version of our platform; we are now proud to present a new and improved website. Our Local Communities — which play such a vital role in our network — finally get their due, and the streamlined design makes surfing our webspace more comfortable and user-friendly.
From now on, every member’s home community has got its place in the spotlight: The latest discussions from the Local Forum, fellow members in town and upcoming events in each city are featured directly on the customized start page. Furthermore, the clear and simple layout of the new navigation bar offers quick access to all major site features and makes visiting other expat hotspots around the world even easier.
The left column on the new start page, however, is all about each individual member. We’ve introduced a Personal Corner and revamped the InterNations Wire. In this way, our members can quickly edit their profiles, share photos with their contacts, sign up for an InterNations Get-Together and much more. Never again will they miss a friend’s birthday, a comment on their forum posts or the most recent photo tags.
Last but not least, our freshly optimized Group section allows everybody to find fellow global minds with similar interests quite easily. The top-notch group platform is the perfect opportunity to share some thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics, from cultural misunderstandings over international movies to global coffee brands.
Now it’s up to the members to explore and enjoy the new “InterNations 2.0”!

We are very sorry for this delay, Roger. The Groups section will be active soon.

Is it just me, but despite what this post mentions, the Groups section doesn’t seem to be ready yet.
Whenever I click the Groups link, I get this message:-
“Some last maintenance checks are required before the new version will be released in the next days.”
This has been like this for at least the last 2 weeks.
