Thanks a lot to all our members who participated in our International Health Insurance Survey! The overall turnout of the survey was great, and we got quite a representative sample of the InterNations member base. 36% are occupationally independent since they are business-owners, self-employed professionals or freelancers. Most others tend to work in leading positions of other companies (CEOs, Managing Directors, Executives). 
However, while the majority considers international health insurance coverage very important, only 50% already have private international health insurance. This might be due to the fact that only one third of the InterNations members have their health-care provided for by their employer.
So it is not surprising that most participants in the survey are looking for better coverage or services when it comes to health insurance. An overwhelming majority of 82% expresses an interest in special offers for international health insurance from a provider recommended by InterNations. Therefore we will do our best to give them the appropriate high-quality information. Hopefully, we will also get a deal with a suitable insurance provider to receive the financial discount that over two-thirds (roughly 70%) are interested in.
Of course, we promised to raffle a brand new Apple iPad among the participants. Hülya Sentürk, a Turkish expat living in Germany, is our lucky winner. Congratulations! We hope that she’ll enjoy her new gadget.
