      Thank you for sharing Cathy! Sounds like it’s a bit difficult for you in the Dominican Republic. I have experienced similar cat calls in South America, however I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a lack of education, but just an immense cultural difference.
      In my opinion one finds love in the unlikeliest places and when one least expects it… Good luck with everything – I am sure a date will soon be up your alley :)

    I am British living in Japan. Dating a Japanese girl for the first time, we went to eat ramen (noodles). The Japanese love to suck up their noodles using as loud a slurping noise as possible. I was horrified and did not date her again. Having lived here for 12 years, the sound of slurping noodles haunts me to this day with my parents-in-law extending the tradition and passing it onto my sons (oh no!!!). Oh well, I guess they are equally offended by me blowing my nose into my handkerchief…they probably have a point!!

    I think yes country does make a difference but everyonr is different. Have lived in diff countries and I must say my prince charming is a German man! N belive it or not..got many flowers, presents, surprise romantic dinners and many other romantic gestures. Been with my German for 10 yrs now, married for 5 n have 2 lil boys. N got flowers last nite too :-) i found that what he told me was all truth ..after couple of mths when he started talking bout his undying love for me…it was all true! Love my life n the diverse culture we r briging our kids up in!
