When Miami Ambassador Angela Pedrao invited ‘her’ community for a casual round of drinks at the Creperie A La Folie, to say farewell to the old year, the enthusiastic reaction surprised even herself. Although most people’s schedules are quite packed in the pre-holiday season, several dozens of guests from countries as varied as Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, the US, Germany, Venezuela, Mexico, Morocco, Afghanistan, Finland, Italy, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Cuba as well as Trinidad and Tobago were interested in gathering once more in 2008. This turnout and the cheerful mood should be a sign of even more good things to come in the Miami Community next year. Stay tuned for their further plans!
