With the winter holidays approaching rapidly, the latest gathering of Amsterdam Ambassador Roxana Popistasu and the InterNations members in the Dutch capital revolved around everybody’s joyous anticipation. At their usual venue, the Canvas op de7e (where the Amsterdam Community have become regulars by now), the guests from Germany, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Russia, Slovakia, Italy, and Poland were eager to share their plans for the holidays: their destinations; the local customs they might miss; the family members they will meet again; and their hopes for a white Christmas. While the chance to see some seasonal snowfall has become rather low for the Germans, maybe the members from other nations will be luckier in that respect…
