InterNations Members from two dozen different countries, both Muslim and non-Islamic ones (from Austria and Canada over Morocco and the Netherlands to the United Kingdom and Yemen) joined our Dubai Ambassadors Marcela Cruz Castillo and Philipp von Zitzewitz for a traditional Iftar or nightly fast-breaking during Ramadan. On the evening of September 25, they all gathered at the Monarch Hotel to partake of a splendid buffet. Everybody enjoyed the friendly staff, the live music, the laid-back atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet new, interesting and open-minded people. After dinner, a smaller group of guests, who didn’t want to leave yet, went upstairs to an open-air lounge, relaxing together near the pool.
