A Diverse Get-Together in Brussels

The last gathering of the InterNations Brussels community was the largest so far. For the second time, the trendy “La Maison du Peuple” in the multicultural neighborhood of Saint Gilles provided a welcoming atmosphere to our Ambassador Noel B. Salazar and his guests. The crowd was as diverse as always, with members from Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. The youngest attendant was a mere three months old while the oldest person was well over seventy. The diversity of the group also showed in people’s professional backgrounds, as they had an interesting mix of European civil servants, diplomats, academics, NGO workers, and people employed in a multitude of industries and services.
